The AMA National Hard Enduro Championship welcomes the AMA U.S. Hard Enduro Series as its flagship event, kicking off the 2026 season with a bang at the legendary King of the Motos. This event is a true test of skill and endurance, featuring challenging terrain and a unique course designed to push riders to their limits. From the rock gardens to the harrowing downhill sections, it's a race where new competitors get their dust baths and experienced racers hone their craft. The weather was perfect for racing, with a brisk but dry Saturday setting the stage for an early start. The Pro Women and Amateur classes kicked things off with a thrilling ascent up 'Chocolate Thunder', with Louise Forsley leading the pack. The IRC Tire Beta rider was close to her goal, finishing just behind the A-class riders. The A-class saw Makana Barger take the chequered flag, edging out fellow Hawaiian Boogie Rivera by just three seconds. The Pro class, however, presented a different challenge, with a trial of quick reflexes and stacked obstacles at 'Super Fun Canyon'. Cody Webb came close, but it was Trystan Hart who emerged victorious, taking home the $1000 prize. The track bit back, however, as Hart's shifter broke mid-course. Ryder Leblond of Rockstar Energy Husqvarna took second place in a hard-fought battle, with a broken footpeg giving him the edge over Cody Webb. The 'E-Moto' and 'Pro Four-Stroke' classes debuted at King of the Motos, with Aidan Manger breaking the champagne as the sole rider in the former and Cody Webb leading the latter. The AMA National Hard Enduro season continues with the Ultimate Hawaiian Hard Enduro on February 20, 2026, bringing a completely different change of scenery between Round 1 and 2.
